I heard rumor that Starbucks does not support the war or anybody who serves in it. I was wondering how much truth is behind this? Anybody else heard this or have any sources? Additional Details<...
(full disclosure: I own 150 shares of Yahoo stock I scooped up at $23 a few months ago) Additional Details I can see from the early answers that people answer for no reason.
Everyone wants products a few cents cheaper, even if it means putting their health and lives at risk.
Sounds pretty goofy and ignorant to me.

First, it's not the administration ... it's the public (we want cheap prices). If we freeze imports from China, they will freeze imports from us, and our economy will tank.
Second, imagine how much prices would increase if we stopped all imports! Prices for electronics, clothing, etc. would go up by double (or more). Is that something you REALLY want?

The almighty dollar...

You sound so naive! Consumers want low price products and China can supply them, due to substantially lower wages than in the US. It has nothing to do with the administration in power; we imported similar amounts of goods under previous administrations as well. Are you willing to pay more for virtually everything you buy? We can compete in the global economy by doing what we do best in this country, not by trying to compete with the Chinese in a race to lower wages.

Most consumers shop by price to get the best product for the lowest cost so the answer is rather evident. The US buys products from China because the US consumers want them to get more for their money. If you have a choice of a $1 imported item or a $4 equal American made item, which are you going to purchase with YOUR money?
