I understand the price of conventional motor oil rising, but why is synthetic rising with it? Surely the production of synthetic oil is getting cheaper, and it's much more common. Shouldn't it be going down. Shouldn't conventional oil, in theory, be more expensive than synthetic? Is there a little something going on here? Possibly the oil companies are paying off synthetic oil production plants? This doesn't really effect my life in a major way, but I'm a curious person. :P
