Warren Buffet is a very rich man but he also understands that if the rich hoard money you end up in a recession and thats why he is one of the biggest philantropist in the world.....He spreads the wealth, I think he realizes that being rich is a blessing but it doesnt put you ahead of the rest of the world which is unfortunately how many of the rich feel. So I think he can side with Obama because they share a similar philosophy on that issue...Of cousre we are not him so we can only speculate....

It could be for a few reasons.
1) Warren has very liberal social views, making Obama an ideal choice for him, since Obama is seen as one of the most liberal members of Congress. This makes him the closest match politically.
2) Warren would stand to gain by Obama's policies. Policies such as raising the minimum wage actually hurt the poor most, while helping large businesses like those Warren runs. Some taxes may go up, but like most rich people, Warren can shift his income to take in money in the most tax-efficient way possible. This minimizes the negative impact to him.
3) Warren and Obama both sound like they want to help people. Their approaches are similar, as they see things from the top of large organizations.
Sadly, they don't recognize more efficient & more effective ways to reach the goals they seek. The federal government alone takes 10% off the top of many programs just for administration costs, before passing the money to lower levels of government that take their own cut too. Many charities exist that effectively spend over 90% of their funds on the programs, with less than 10% going to administration.

Because he's a Democrat, he's said he would have backed Hillary Clinton if she was the Democratic Nominee.

Because Obama is an intelligent man who can be educated. McCain would have been kicked out of college for bad grades if his father had not intervened. McCain makes Bush look like a scholar.
