Why not give the bailout to the people and not the greedy Auto industry?
I think that ot would be a great idea to give every tax paying american a $35000 voucher to buy american made car and that would in turn jump start the struggling auto industry. I dont agree with handing them 25 billion tax paying dollars
A better idea is to give no one anything. What happened to free enterprise? If the big auto companies go out of business, the employees will get other jobs. Why prop up the ridiculous labor union contracts? It is the unions we the taxpayers will be bailing out. The southern automobile companies in Georgia and South Carolina are fine.

How old are you? People think were in a recession now watch what happens if the three American auto industrys go down. Millions of people lose thier pension 1 in every 300 americans have something to do with GM. And thats just GM What about Ford???? That would be a waste because a lot of the American cars or of poor quality. A better idea would be to give the workers of those plants a severance package so that they can find new work or be able to retire.
