give me a bailout, i really need it! amazing that the government, after punishing the auto industries ceo's by saying a round trip on a private flight is $20,000, still gave them the $25 billion(i think, i'm not sure if they did or if they r going to). how many homeless & poor people need that bailout $. business is more important than people's lives, just crazy! |

Your biggest reason is going to be that the auto industry (as a whole) provides a lot of jobs to people. Office jobs, factory jobs, dealership jobs.
If we do help them, bringing jobs that they have outsourced should be one of the stipulations of such a deal. |

If the auto industry doesnt get help 1000's of jobs are at stake which means the government have to provide for the unemployed with unemployment benefits and so on. also less revenue for government in long run because corporate tax on car manufacturers will be a lot of money that the government will be loosing out on |

We are not a social government, but one that is for free capitalism. US businesses that are not managed well should not get US government bailout. Other US businesses have filed chapter 11 protection for re-organization to become profitable again, some businesses have failed chapter 11 re-organization and should be allow to go under. The US airline industry went through chapter 11 re-organization, including their unions. Why does the US big three think they can not do it? If the big three can not produce products that are in demand, then spending more money to keep them a float is a waste.
Suggestion for the US government, give 25 billion to the tax payers and let them use it to buy vehicle of their choice. If the US automakers have products we want, then we will buy from them and they get the money. |
