Why won't AMWAY salespeople take no for an answer?
A couple of my relatives signed up and they've turned from mild mannered, considerate people to obsessive, pushy, chatty-Kathy dolls. It's like they've joined a cult. What can I do to get them off my back?

I grew up only minutes away from Amways Corporate Headquarters... but surprisingly, haven't been harrassed by to many "Amway People"... It seems as if their business motto is "fake it til you Make It" and "NEVER take No for an Answer" they are really into the "SALES" thing. The sad part about that is that there are many who truly believe what has been promised by their "Upline" and for some this is an attainable goal... However, most seem to be very pushy for a few months and then see that they are losing friends. People are no longer ansewering their calls, and no one is accepting their dinner invitations any longer.

I think Amway is one of the companies that gives MLM a bad name. They have a set quota that they have to reach each month and in order to advance need to be that pushy. But, to be fair, one can say that about a lot of the "sales people" out there. (try walking into a furniture store, car lot, or even electronics store)

Try explaining to them that you have heard bad things from too many people. Or even tell them to get back with you when they can show you checks to back up their statements (that's what worked for me... still waiting for someone to "show me") I did have one person, show me what did work for them... wasn't Amway tho.

Personally, I wish more Amway people would contact me about Amway (as I said, I have found a program that ACTUALLY works, without the high volume requirements, doesn't require all the high pressure sales or inventories.) So my new response is to "SHOW them" my program and then help them to actually reach the goals they have been unable to reach with Amway.

They are only trying to help... maybe you could "Help them" to find something less Pushy!!!

Everyone knows an AMWAY person and everyone avoids them. My husbands father used to sell AMWAY and his friends still joke about him carting all the high school friends to AMWAY meetings when they'd rather be chasing girls.

Maybe you should take a look at some of the products. I can help you with that. Just write to me. What would you like???

they went to the same school as the Jehovah's witnesses did! seriously though, they are trained, if you wish to call it that, to do that. it actually does sell more product. ever buy a new or used car? it seems like from the moment you step on the lot till the moment they shove you down in the chair and shove an inkpen in your hand is like 45 seconds. pressure sells! fact of life, and they use it!
