They found a candidate they prefer. they may still have someinterest in you down the road so don't rule them out but it won't help you to get angry. you could send tham a letter asking for future consideration and then continue your job search

dang that sucks, two interviews was my max to have not been hired. I once applied to a city job where I had to take two tests, a written then later a computer test, and then an interview without being hired. those online apps take while to fill out, too. that's a waste of time.

Maybe they wanted to see what you offered and each time they asked you back, it was to reevaluate you to see if you would be an asset to the company. Maybe in the long run, you were either over qualified, or weren't what they were looking for. But either way, there is probably something better for you in the future.
