Will the Mcdonalds Corp ever go Organic and should a co as big as them be ecologically responsible?

They will offer organic products when they believe enough of their potential customers want.

This is what was behind their decision to introduce fresh salads and such. It was becomng clear that they essentially sold unhealthy products and they needed to change the image. So,the only way to do was to start selling "healthy" products. Unfortunately, they still sell the crap.

All companies should be ecologically responsible in their purchasing and enture business.

will you pay $15 for a burger and $5 for fries? Going organic will cost money, and yields from farms will drop significantly. Spoilage is another factor. They should be ecologically responsible for sure, and for that they use recycled paper and packaging. What else do you propose?

In the UK they already have started with offering organic milk.

If McD's went 100% organic I don't think the prices would rise all that much-perhaps 100% over what you see today (but with rising petro prices I believe that in a couple of years McD's prices will be doubled over what they are today for conventional food they serve already). The reason is because McD grows its own food, it does not do much outsourcing so if McD went organic they would simply certify organic all their beef, taters, salad items, dairy, etc.. and by doing that would get around the short supply of organic foods which is a big reason why prices tend to be high.

Should corps as big as McD's be ecologically responsible? Absolutely. they have a lot of influence and other corps do follow their lead.

No. Going organic would be too expensive. Organic products cost quite a bit more than non-organic, so they would have to raise their prices. Higher prices = fewer customers = less revenue = closing stores/firing employees.

I think every company, regardless of size, should be ecologically responsible.

I thought hamburger was organic, but I could very well be confused. The last burger I ate was over a year ago and tasted like plastic.
