Consumer, do you actually think wal mart has ethics? Take it back. They will still be able to resale it. I have worked in retail and you would be surprised at what they will resale. I once worked in a popular dept. store and they took back this old cruddy ring that they never did carry and resold it as their own. |

I would assume so. I would tell them you decided you didn't want it anymore, they do not need to know anything else. It is none of their business why you are bringing it back. If you don't have a receipt, they may give you a store credit to use in the future, but I do not know their store policy so you should look on their website or call them to see before you go down there. |

most big name stores like Walmart, K-mart, series, zellers, will take back almost everything if you have a receipt.
I say give it a shot, If they wont give you a refund ask for store credit or exchange for another item. |

yes. go to customer service and say you opened it and plugged it in and it didnt work and you want your money back. |

Go buy a new one from the shop where they are half the price and then return that one unused to walmart with your original receipt, you will get the refund of the full price and keep the used one.
The only flaw in this is if Walmart will not take the half price one back with your walmart receipt, you will have two but if they do you will have paid the half price! |

Wal-mart takes everything back, whether or not you have the receipt will decide on whether you will get your money back, or get a gift card. |

If you have a receipt you most certainly can. If you don't have a receipt they may give you a harder time and will only give you store credit. |
