I went for an interview their quite some moons ago (8 - 10 years) and I was horrified at their management style. I am surprised they've lasted this long. Just highlights the fact that when the times are good, money is taken as bonuses and dividends to shareholders but no "rainy day" fund set up. The top bosses have managed the business into this state but I'm sure their millions will keep them going whilst the minimum wage staff will be out.
Interesting that the Government rescue corrupt banks !!
Woolies is some 99 years old but it has succumbed to management greed. |

I will be sad. Woolworths have been around for so many years and I have many happy memories from when i was a kid and used to buy pick n mix there, and when i used to spend my pocket money on cassette tapes :( |
