I think the worst ones are the ones where it's foreigners trying their damdest to speak english. You think your calling somewhere in Britain and end up speaking to someone in Pakistan.
It's infurating , especially as i'm Scottish, so between my accent and their accent i end up getting nowhere LOL |

Agree whole heartedly about the Post Office. After complaining about a problem with the local postman and his inability to put letters into the letter box, he dropped them on the mat outside the main door, as a compensation for the inconvenience caused they sent to me, wait for it, 2 SECOND CLASS STAMPS. I wrote to them and sent back the stamps and asked for a better explanation of the lazy postman and I am still waiting for an answer after 2 years. Car Phone Warehouse or Talk Talk have not been any problem to me since going on to broadband with them in August 2006, Barclays Bank I have had difficulties with and as a result I have closed 3 savings account and made sure that they are aware of the reasons. |

Well said. They lose your mail and then don't want to know. They take your money and often fail to deliver but then when you try to complain and resolve it they fob you off. Royal Mail are without doubt the number have the worst customer service I have ever come across. |

1) Royal Mail - Rang them to arrange a re-delivery. Was kept on hold for over half an hour (automated voice - your call is in a queue). In the end i gave up and ended up with a £5 charge on my phone bill !!!!
2) 3 Mobile for the reasons stated above.
3) NTL - Although maybe Virgin Media will change that. |

in my experience, most corporations have horrible customer service (please let me know of all the good ones, though!). more often, it's the endless automated messages, customer service reps from overseas that are hired to pester you (it is not their fault-- they're paid very little, too)... so many hours spent on the phone with very little that gets accomplished.
my new approach is this: rather than spend the hours on those customer service lines, call their corporate office directly if you want something to happen faster. you can google this and look for their financial symbol, which lists the corporate address and phone.
also, you should spend that time to write a letter (verbal agreements don't mean anything anymore)-- just make sure to make copies and certify the letter.
i was just so sick and tired of the hours and hours wasted...
on another note: it's upsetting to me the responses i see with racist comments about these "foreigners" and their poor customer service. do you really think it's their fault they are being hired with very little pay and poor training? if the company really cared about their clients, they would hire employees that were fluent in English and train them well... this is much more expensive though. so, please be more thoughtful about these comments you're making... |

Demon internet
who didnt update my accounts information with my new address, even though i not only notified them, they installed the new broadband there and closed the old one off as well.
well eventually after trying to make me believe i must have 2 broadband connections - er get real people.
took them about 5 months to sort it out, i canceled direct debit until they did. the only good thing they have going is they didnt cut me off in that time. |

HSBC-I bought a $13,500.00 four wheeler last July, I called customer service in September to defer a one month payment so I could send a check for $12,750.00. They told me it was fine,so i did. The next month I got a letter saying my account was defaulted because of a missed payment and the interest rate was set to 24.99%. I called them and they said noone had noted the computer and its my fault. The payment sent in went to principal and the payment was not made for that month. Im still fighting them over this! If you send someone a large payment like that and they don't put it towards the payment how dumb is that? I only owe them $425.00 now and will pay it off next month and never use HSBC again for loans!!!! |

I stupidly answered one those things that come up on the pc "congrats you have won hourly prize."
Yeh, I fell for all the sales pitches... duh
It was a holiday... when I said OK, I want these dates...
did they give me the run around or what?
Emails, phone calls... zilch.
& after every zilch, they emailed "How did we do today?"
I told them in plain English...
because there aren't enough swear words to get through to cretins...
Oh! & as if that wasn't enough...
I then fell for the "work from home using your pc to get money" lark...
I sent off the dosh to join their membership...
Did I ever get an email back? G'rrrrrrrrrrr |

USPS - Cos .... well just because it's the post office.
Hewlett Packard - Supervisors are always on lunch. I wonder which Indian restaurant they frequent?
England - Cause they keep trying to believe that America doesn't own them. This is a case where the customer is NEVER right. We'll drag you into any war we damn well please, deal with it. Tony Blair handles our customer service complaints. |
