Would the company I work for be offended by this?
I work as a nurse in a mental hospital. I have a part time contract and have been there for a year and a half. However I fancy just going on the company bank instead as it allows more freedom, and maybe doing a bit of agency work on the side too. Would the company be offended if I asked to go on the bank instead of keeping my contract? I havent had a baby or anything so maybe they would think it was a bit odd?

I don't see why they would be offended at you for wanting to change your status at your place of employment. I have to say that I am not sure what you mean by, going on the bank, Although I am assuming that you mean to go on call (meaning they call when they need you), that way you can get more regular hours at a different place.
Again, I don't see why they would be offended at this, because you need your lifestyle to fit your life, and that includes your job.
