I have to deal with them for work.. I get say 40 / 50 items delivered at work..
i have to sign FIFTY times for them, not once.. (i think they get more money for single items) so they aren't exactly the most common sense company I deal with.
and no I wouldn't trust em..
besides the data on them disks should have been encrypted, so even if they were lost / taken it would be pretty much useless to most people |

it's not TNT it's whomever is the poor junior's manager who told them not to send things recorded, I had that in a job I was in then the next manager hit the roof when we didn't. Although it's policy doesn't mean thats what they were told to do. |

You do realise that TNT is probaly one of the better postal companys, millions apon millions of pounds worth of post gets lost through royal mail and parcel force each year.
It was a stupid thing of the gouverment to send something of such importance through a commercial mailing company |

I sent a letter to my husbands employer with a cheque in it, it arrived 13 weeks later, I complained to Royal Mail they could offer no explanation. I understand that quite often Royal Mail do the final part of the delivery for services like TNT. I expect they all operate in much the same way. They should check under machinery, etc, and all vans. My letter must have been somewhere for 13 weeks, I expect it turned up in a tidy up. Perhaps a bit of housekeeping should be undertaken. I think the media over react and cause the problem to escalate, they cause worry and stress. All this has done is alert someone to how valuable these discs are. I am sick to death of listening to inane questions being asked of people by moronic news presenters! |

It is not TNT at fault here.Any goverment dept,. should use its own internal courier service,this is an essential requirement,where confidential documents and/or information has to be moved.The dept,./person who initiated this latest farce should be the one to pay,along with the dept,. head who allowed these procedures to develop.I suppose we are looking at further evidence of the foolish use of so called cutbacks and budget reductions.No boss,worth his salt,fights to struggle through on a cut budget.A true dept,. head and leader fights to the death for a BIGGER BUDGET to improve performance ,not a smaller one.Sad to say,the wimps prevail,this,unfortunately applies in business as well.The other problem that compounds this situation is the proliferation of agency workers used in these companies now.They hold no allegiance to anyone,have no loyalty to the hirer and are underpaid themselves.Its the same when agency employees dump xmas post in the skips,and i have seen this happen. |
