What would be my incentive to take on a tough job rather than an easy job? Would anyone want to work in the sewers when they could make the same money as a security guard who just needed to walk around every hour or so?
Why should the guy who comes up with a multi-million dollar idea for his company make the same as that security guard? What incentive does he even have to come up with that multimillion dollar idea?
Fixing salaries is just a stupid idea.
Besides, why would I want to take that kind of cut in pay. |

Can we say communism. I probably would vote against it because that deletes work ethic completely realistically. Why should anyone bother moving up in the world if they are going to have the same pay and stuff? I know that is works in theory, but in reality, it is nothing but a far fetched pipe dream. |

no different jobs deserve different pay.... some are just more important than others... diversity leads to a better economic system... if salary goes up demand for products goes up, therfore supply goes down, and inflation will ensue making the price of products higher, it will eventually equalize and we'll be right back where we started |

Heh-hehll no! Not only did communism fail miserably but why should those who put way more into their profession be equal to those who only did what they needed to in order to get a job. Example - do you want your brain surgeon who went to college for 15 years (yes - longer than k-12) to make the same money as the dip-wad who can't even make my egg mcmuffin have no cheese? Ok, so they both work 40 hours a week, but really, would you go to the brain surgeon who is equal to the "would you like frys with that?" guy? |
