No wal-mart should be free to sell what they want to . What we really need is a corporate chain store similar to wal-mart to open up in this country and sell no products unless it is made in America. This would provide jobs for Americans that is sorely needed. The government should provide tax breaks for this company so they could sell their products at a reasonable price. I believe that any that could afford to pay the little extra it would cost would buy American if they could. I know that I would! You can't walk into any store anywhere and find something that is made in America anymore.This is a sin and a shame and it eventually will be the downfall of our country.

Walmart isn't the only store that sells stuff made in China. They make an easy target for people who want to blame the American economy on something. Face it, Americans wouldn't work for what the Chinese get paid. Our democratic society is a utopian fantasy. Democracy is ultimately an infringement on someone elses rights. Point the finger at Walmart. It makes a much simpler scapegoat. Our society is what drives companies like Walmart. It is supply and demand. You want blame someone...look to society.

Except that people will complain about the prices being much more expensive since they can't count on cheap labor and unethical labor practices to keep costs down.
And the better paying jobs that people used to have that they might have dealt with the price hike are gone because Walmart ran local businesses into oblivion.
We really don't have any moral ground on talking about communist oppression on people when we are using those same "opressed" souls for our cheap crap.

If they stopped buying from China there's a hundred other countries that will work for a fraction of what Americans demand. In all these places there are tons of people who would starve to death or die from treatable diseases if they didn't have that job making stuff for walmart. We're one of the richest countries in the world. I have no problem giving a couple jobs to those who need them. I've seen how people live in China and some other places. We're helping people who would literally die if we manufactured everything in the U.S.
