It's a scam. A good rule of thumb is that unless you personally filled out a form for a chance to win something, it is a scam.
By the way, you can not claim lottery winnings from lotteries in other countries. Also, no one is going to give you something for forwarding emails to 10 people. These various scams have been around for years. |

Do you really really believe you have won a prize? I guess not as you are asking the question! If you want to waste some time and money then ring the Bank of England and ask them if it is for real - but don't use the number in the message as this is probably a telephone scam. You don't have to be sherlock holmes to find out that the post code 'CR0 4TD' belongs to the adress quoted but the name of the company at that address is 'Tone Hire & Sales Ltd - so this doesn't taly does it? I dont know but it sounds legitimate, i mean you dont have to give bank details or pay a fee and the phone number is not a premium rate one so I'd go for it but remember not to give any personal details unless you are 110% certain it's not a scam or ID fraud! |

That's easy. Click on the Yahoo category in the left hand column and ask your question of the Yahoo staff. They'll be quick enough to tell you if it's a scam or not and if it is, to do something about tracking it down and preventing the scammers from using Yahoo. |
