Does the organization have an annual meeting where speeches are made and directors elected? If so, that would be a good tool for you.
Do you have friends who agree with you? I would try to build a team of people who agree with you. Maybe get a petition signed.

don't know about the rules of your org, but in most if a member asks to call a meeting ,a meeting of the members must be held then put a motion of no confidence in the board and tell the members why you think this and demand a vote for or against the board .
If you not scared of playing hard and there are certain board members you see as shifty and corrupt there is all ways the option of pulling them aside for a bit of discussion (maybe knuckle sandwich) right before the meeting
