If it's under her name, she's getting the good credit from you paying it off. See if you can get a loan or line of credit from your bank in your own name to pay off the remaining amount and pay the loan back in installments. Even if it's not for the whole amount, even a little bit of credit helps. |

Get a prepaid credit card, like through capital 1 or something. I had to claim bankruptcy a few years back and that's helping me get a good name back. Even just having it, if you don't activate it, will help you get credit at other places. |

Since the loan is in your Sisters name, there is nothing you can do to get credit for the payments you have already made.
If you have the canceled checks? Go to your local bank with your Sister and see if they will loan you the balance in your name. |

You can't get credit for payments in someone else's name. See if your sister will add your name to the financing for the car, then continue to make the payments. |

Refinance the car into your name and keep making payments on time. As long as the payments are in your sister's name it will not help you. Do you live in an apartment? Paying your utilities on time will raise your credit score. Do you have any credit cards? Routine and on time payments will raise your credit score. Any debt that you currently have will affect your credit. Keeping paying every month on time without fail. It takes time but eventually you will build it up again. Hope this helps and good luck. |

You can not fix your credit when you are paying for something in someone elses name! In order for you to get credit for the payments you have to have your name on the loan. See if you can get your sister to put your name also on the loan. |

If the care loan is under your sisters name, its on her credit and its her credit that you benefit. Doesnt matter if you are using your personal checks, etc. Its her loan.
If you want it to be under your name, you need to finance the car yourself. |

Add extra as much as you can and get it paid off
Start with the lowest balance and hit it hard till it is gone
then start working on the next one
On the car if it is in your sisters name you will not get credit rated on HER CREDIT
I am working over time adn doing all I an to get mine paid off as well.
I NEVER WANT TO BE IN DEBIT AGAIN...........but we did it to our selves so we really can not complain can we |
