I agree with the suggestions from others about seeing if anyone in your family or a friend can loan you the money. Pawning some of your unneeded belongings may be another good option to come up with some cash.
I would definitely not suggest going to a cash loan shop... their fees are outrageous, and most people end up in more financial trouble after using them because they can't catch up.
If you have a credit card (without an extremely high interest rate), you might be able to get a cash advance on the card (check the fees first)... and be religious about paying it off quickly so you don't pay too much in interest.
Some landlords will also allow you to build the deposit in over the first couple of months. Perhaps you can talk the landlord into accepting $600 this month and $600 next month, in addition to rent, to pay the deposit.
Maybe you can get a roommate to help defer the costs.
