Is it the same one? If so tell them from now on you want all calls to cease and everything in writing. If they choose to ignore you asking them than you can sue...C |

See the link for a summary of the Fair Debt Collection Act.
You can shut him up by sending a registered letter to his address, which he is required by law to give you. In this letter, you may state that you wish his company to cease communication with you on this matter.
Next time he calls, tell him that you know he is specifically in violation of Section 806, subsection 5 (causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at the called number) of this act, and that you are reporting him to the state Attorney General; that you can and will sue him if he persists, and that your phone records will prove he's in violation. |

you can call a lawyer and get the lawyer to call them...you can ask to speak with their supervisor and explain your situation (send monthly expenses vs money coming in) or you can claim bankruptcy and all creditors stop calling or there will be a lawsuit against them...hope this is helpful...kt |

Here's the problem...
There is a huge hole in the Fair Debt Collections Act law. It only applies to collection agencies, attorneys, and third party collectors. If it's the original collector there isn't much you can do.
So, if this is a collection agency, you need to read and understand the Fair Debt Collections Act. Go to the link below.
To get them off your back it's fairly simple. Send them a cease and desist letter. By law, once they get this letter they can not contact you again.
Be sure to send this letter by certified mail so you can prove it was sent. In the case of these phone calls, I'm going to bet they are blocking their phone id information, but it will still show up as a call on your telephone records. That should be all you need to prove in court that they are still bothering you.
You can file a small claims suit very easily. |

If you owe the money there isn't much you can do, IF ANYTHING. I mean they can makes attempts to collect the money owed them. Be glad they aren't calling you as late as midnight. |

You may wish to refer to this site:

They are legally allowed to call during certain hours, etc, but you do have the right to not be totally harrassed too. |

Tell them to stop and decease once you say that even if you owe money they can't call you anymore. Next time call them up and tell them that you are filing a harassment suite on them twice in a normal shift is all they should call you. Good Luck! I would report it to the BBB or my the attorney general call your phone company too they may have better advice plus you can block their # to where they can never bother you again although sometimes it is better to get it settled i tried to ignore mine and ended up with garnishment papers |

ONCE YOU HAVE ASKED A COLLECTOR TO STOP CALLING AND THEY CONTINUE TOO, THAT IS CONSIDERED HARRASSMENT. DIAL *57 EVERY TIME THEY CALL YOU. THAT SENDS A MESSAGE TO YOUR PHONE COMPANY THAT YOU ARE RECEIVING HARRASSING OR OBSCENE CALLS. AFTER THE SEND TIME THEY SEND A MESSAGE TO THE CALLER THAT IF THEY CALL AGAIN THEY WILL SEND THE POLICE TO INQUIRE.
IF THAT SHOULD WORK, ALSO YOU CAN REPORT THEM TO BBB AND ALSO CONTACT LEGAL AID.
