My girlfriend and I were having a difficult time so I stayed at a hotel for a weekend. It started out as a co-worker of mine knows the owner of a few hotels here in town (state of Florida) He called the guy (owner) and he told me he could get a lower rate for me but not to tell any of the other tennants that my cost was less than theirs (some law) So I book the room for the standard 39.95 rate for Thursday night. Friday is memorial day weekend so the rates went up to $65 for Friday and Saturday. Says he charging $100 plus to the other customers but he will give me the room for 65 plus tax. Books me for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. ( I didnt want sunday night) I didn't realize this at the time he was charging me for 4 nights not 3. I only wanted to stay until Sunday morning. So I go to check out and let the owner know that he's charging me for 4 night not 3 and I would like him to credit my card back for the 65 plus tax for the Sunday night that i'm not staying there and not using ( which I never booked) He then tells me that he would have to charge the higher rate and it will be more that way. I told him that it's not very business like to do something like that. So I told him that this wouldn't be the last he here's from me on this issue. Should I get a Lawyer involved, I don't want to b/c i'm a pretty easy going guy and don't neccessarly believe in that. Please help with this issue if you can.
