Sad to say, you are liable for whatever you signed for. However, if I am reading your figures correctly, you signed for a credit card with a limit of $300,000.00 ?????
Co-signing is NEVER a good idea unless you are absolutely sure that you are willing to absorb any debts incurred by the person for whom you sign. |

never co sign for anything unless your married.
Bottom line is you need to look into settling that account or he should look into paying cash. |

Whatever the correct amount is, call your ex and tell him either pay off the credit card in full or you will file for bankruptcy. You can also call the credit card company and close the account and write a letter to the credit bureaus and tell them you want to be notified of any new inquires. |

If not you are equally on the hook.

Unless it's an American Express black card, I've never heard of an unsecured line of credit that high.
I would contact a good lawyer, but generally if you signed it you also own it.
So if the 300k is part of some good purchases, i would take what's mine. |
