ellie | Any ideas how to get a mortgage without a credit check? |
|
|

I dont know!
|
Unfortunately you won't get a mortgage without a credit check. Most lenders are licensed to be able to give loans, and therefore have to abide by certain criteria in their underwriting process. Reviewing a credit file is one of those criteria. Lenders (personal or secured) offer various rates to customers of different credit worthiness. The only way to determine what product you would be offered is by doing a credit check. |

Now why would someone trust you with at least a hundred thousand dollars without at least glancing a little? Especially with the mortgage crises that's going on now. Its actually worse now because they not only pull it once they pull it about three times by the time you close and they want explanations for EVERYTHING negative on there. |

I hope all lenders do a credit check. That has been the problem in the United States and is the root of the problem in the first place. Too many people were given mortgages that should not have received one and that is why we have so many foreclosures. It was simply called greed and I placed a lot of the blame on banks and mortgage lenders. |

Even before the recession hit last fall, it was impossible.
Why should I lend money to someone that wasn't assured to pay it back? |

no one will lend you money without knowing whether you are likely to be able to pay it back |

Not with any "lender" except an Owner who will finance. I have sold houses owner finance and I can tell you I want to see a good chunk of money down and the ability to pay in case I have to repossess it. Good luck. Save your money if you want to own a home. The easy days are gone for now. |
