So far the best card I have found for building/rebuilding credit is Orchard Bank. They have a low interest rate (14.90, good for a sub prime card), low annual fee, no hidden fees and if you manage your account properly, they give excellent credit limit increases. You can get more info on Orchard Bank at http://www.creditcardindex.org/orchardbank.html
Avoid Capital One. They do not report your credit limit and that damages your credit score. Example, they give you a $500 limit and you use $250, they will report your limit as $250. This will damage your credit score because instead of using 50% of your credit limit, it looks like you are using 100% of your credit limit. |

I used Orchard bank. They had the lowest fees and reported to all three credit bureaus.
It took a while but after about 12-months of paying on time every month and never exceeding 40% of my limit, I got a offer for a Providian card that I still have to this day. |

I would avoid any of the ones that require a "participation fee" every month. First premier is notorious for this. I've had good luck with Capital One, though others disagree with them. I've also had good relations with Household Bank, and Credit One. I have other cards but those are the best. If you want to bump up your credit score and pay your balance every month, get a store card like Walmart or Target. My Target card has no annual fee and no extra fees and since its paid every month, theres no getting penalized and thats what you have to look for. |

Capital One is good for re-building your credit, however if you are ever late on one payment you will end up paying out the butt in interest.
You can find a card that is right for you through them at this website
