yeh...you cant get credit from banks etc until 18. whatever you do dont go to some dodgy old loan shark type person. Ask a relative.

If you were at university you could get a student loan from your bank. But apart form that you can't get credit untill your eighteen

Your very young to get a loan, you have to be 18 (assuming you are in the UK) Try not to get yourself in to financial bother to early in your life. It's easy to fall into the trap of easy credit and difficult to get out of it. Sorry to sound like an old fuddy duddy but could you not save for your purchase ?

As you're only 17 you won't be able to get credit from a bank in the UK - you need to be 18. try asking a relative if they could lend it to you and explain that paying it back won't be a problem. If not you'll have to wait until you're 18 and go to the bank for a loan - you may be turned down as you have no credit history if you've never had a bank account though....

In short - nowhere legal.
Under the terms of the Consumer Credit Act, a minor (anyone under 18) cannot legally have a credit agreement.

only way i can think of is to ask an older relative to get the loan on your behalf (assuming that u are the 17 year old ?) and then make sure that u keep up with the monthly payments...... not a good idea to default on the payments if someone has been good enough to loan u that amount of money.
