He proved a point - paying that company is a waste of money . Watch his business go downhill real fast. Plus - the only thing this company does is notify you if things show up on your credit report - IT CAN DO NOTHING ELSE. |

He is so stupid, anything can be stolen, alert goes out after the process has been done, they can not check everyone at three different credit bureaus every time a transaction happens...He got what he deserved try to con people into his scam. |

All Lifelock does is notify the three major credit bureaus to put fraud alerts on your reports, which you can do for free. They do this the first month. They continue to charge $10 per month. I don't see what they do the second, third, etc. months but they still charge you $10 for each month.
Read the fine print. Their $1MM guarantee doesn't actually cover problems and costs related to identity theft, only a failure by Lifelock to provide the service. |

In these days of ID theft it is necessary to protect yourself by avoiding any REAL details about yourself appearing anywhere on-line.
In addition to sticking to the cast-iron rule of "never click on a link in an email, never double click on an attachment and never open junk email", you would be wise (if you use any 'social networking' site) to always lie a little 'on-line' .. i.e. never enter your true name, address, date of birth etc. ...
Only ever use your true details for financial or contractural reasons .. and then by POST never on-line (it's just too easy for copies of emails you sent eg. to your Bank to be 'forwarded' or found in your 'sent' folder)
PS if you want to be 'consistent' the easiest thing to do is change you name to the other sex .. eg. Sophia to Steve etc. |
