By far, most students are under the age of 18. They are minors and are not responsible (usually) for their monetary debts. |

Yes because they know they have fresh meat on thier hands. (Young inexperienced fools who will rack up a huge bill and not be able to pay it off.) Think about it...the whole reason you need credit is because you don't have money! So then you can't pay off your balance and you trash your credit or end up paying 3 times as much for something because of interest rates. Take it from someone who knows. DON'T DO IT...JUST LIVE BROKE FOR A WHILE. You'll be much better off! |

It primarily depends on the student's major. If you want a card put your major as something likely to make a good salary, like Computer Sciences or Engineering. On the other hand, if you're an English major and you get that card, it's going to be hard to pay off the debt if you're working at Friday's. Good luck! |
