Are the drug dealers suffering from the credit crunch?
If all the high fliers from wall st and the city are finding a shortage of usage of thier flexible friends . #
does this cause a shortfall for drug dealers , is the price of good coke falling as the house markets are.

so extropolating from these answeres we can expect far more crime and violence then?

Far from it I'm afraid.

As the credit crunch gets "worse" (although that's debatable), there are more "acquisitive" crimes being committed - shoplifting, thefts, burglaries, cars being broken into, that sort of thing, and all the goods being sold on the black market. The people buying them seem to think they are getting a bargain, but they are buying someone's misery.

The thieves therefore still have plenty of money to buy their drugs.

More home invasions and bank robberies.

wayalook
not likely. dealers take cash only. no credit. where the cash comes from is the users problem.

what i think is no. look at the movie, and alcohol industry. those 2 are doing well. bad times, people want ways to make themselves feel better.

Apparently it is getting tougher on the street:
Reduced shop takings = less girls hired = less drugs consumed by bad guys

Lily B Talus
Shouldn't think so

good point ... more dealers will be killing each other or joining forces.. it is the black market that destroys the white market,, so lets say cocaine and heroin have destroyed the world the devil as nearly won , who is left to save are sorry arses, cooper man,

Your high end class As are probably dwindling but most likely people will just buy cheaper stuff, such is the problem with addiction.

I've not noticed the pubs get any emptier though nor less people smoking regardless of the weather so I doubt your average pot dealer's gonna go out of business either.

Dafydd
I sincerely hope so
