Are there credit cards for people with bad credit? Where do I get one?
My life is more established and I would like to get a credit card. However, I have bad credit, is it possible to get a credit card? Any suggestions...?

Orchard bank and capital one will give you credit but only with a very low credit line and a higher interest rate than others

Before you start charging away you should check out Bankrate and follow their advise and tips- you can also look for the answers you need regarding all your financial questions: http://www.bankrate.com/brm/rate/cc_home.asp

I've got an idea...bypass the traditional american standard of drowning in debt and don't get a damn credit card at all. Try doing a little research on a guy named Dave Ramsey, he's a huge nationally syndicated radion talk show host that has been everywhree from Oprah to CNN and more and he doesn't believe in credit at all. It only gets you in trouble. If you can't afford it, don't buy it!!! How do you get buy with things like mortgages, rental cars, etc?? Lenders for mortgages (the only debt you should ever take out) can actually evaluate you based on you as a person and not your credit, you'll have to look a little harder for such a bank and be able to prove that you are truly responsible with your money. Rental cars? No problem, you can still carry a debit card which is all they need.

Credit cards are a nice way for huge companies to take advantage of people like you... you don't need one... Check out "The Total Money Make Over" by Dave Ramsey or visit daveramsey.com.... You may think this is an ad.. but it isn't... this is an unpaid personal testimony it works and will save you tons of money... it's the best way to retire with over a million in the bank

If it's really bad, you will be able to get one by paying a refundable deposit to the credit card co. Like Capitol one. After some time, 1-2 yrs. you will be able to get the deposit returned to you and get a credit line increase. But you must make all of your payments on time. If you aren't good with handling credit, just use your ATM visa or mc.

best of luck

There are many cards for people with bad credit. Most however have an annual fee, and many other fee's to go along with it, so be careful. Read the fine print. There are also secured credit cards, which I suggest. You put money into a savings account with the bank and that is your credit limit. They will only take out that money if you don't pay your bill. And you won't be able to use that money as long as you have the credit card. I would try a credit union for a secured card. Some won't charge an annual fee, so keep looking until you find one. It's a great way to build your credit, and eventually you will be able to get a regular credit card, most likely with a higher interest rate, but if you are smart and pay it off at the end of each month, you have nothing to worry about.

There are credit cards for people with bad credit, but most either require a "savings account" which determines your credit line or outrageous fees making it not even worth having. To further research or to obtain one, simply to Googel search.

In the States - Orchard Bank has a good Mastercard.

Oh, there's plenty of companies that would love to issue you a credit card - at 34% interest.

Start with a debit card and rebuild your history first.

Bad credit is one of the worst problems to have... however there exists a solution.

I will hereby talk from my personal experience.

I did debt consolidation a couple of years ago, however If I had to do it again I would pay to some minor details,
if someone wants to get out of debt today it is pretty easy with a debt consolidation plan, however it may get a bit tricky at times, I suggest you get as much information as possible online on this first,

a good place to start in my humble opinion is astraight to the point ebook with question and answer I found :

http://umgarticles.atspace.com/debt-consolidation.htm

if it helps kindly remember me in your voting!.. cheers!

You know you can buy prepaid credit cards that you charge with money like a phone card. You can find them at Walgreens.

I would definatly not tell you to not get a credit card....thats how you get credit....and you'll need credit to buy a house one day! Orchard Bank, and First premier offer cards with annual fees that add up to about $150.00 but capital one is a good place to get it. I had no credit and applyed for their card and i got approved w/ no fees for $2500.00. Hope this helps ya

yma
vanquis or aqua if your in the uk, search them on google and you should be ok, good luck

eriq p
there's a few that will give you a low credit line, but will have outrageous interest rates. i would instead work on rebuilding that credit instead of going out and getting another card just to ruin it some more.
