You have pay all your bills in full and on time. Contact creditors/collection agencies and make a deal for payment-for-delete to remove derogatory info from your credit report. Don't apply for any new credit. It will take atleast 24 months of on time payments to increase your FICO score.

It will get better over time as long as you pay on time.

It takes time to get back with a good credit rating, can take up to around 7 years.

As long as you pay things on time and when your supposed to then your credit will improve. Putting most things on direct debit will help

homehunter
you may still have a bad credit score so get a copy of your credit report to see what derogatory items are still there from your bad credit days. Then you can proceed to improve your bad credit score from there.

Not if you are sensible. when they see you pay your debt they will offer you more credit. But be good and say no cos you be back to square one

It all depends on how many reposessions, late payments, and debt that you currently have, as well as some other factors. The best way I have found to build up credit is to get a credit card, only charge what you absolutely need such as groceries, gas, etc. Just make sure to pay it off every month and you will gradually get better credit. I was able to get a new car, without a co-signer, at age 18 doing this, so it should work.

No. You can improve your credit.

Get a secure credit card from a bank. Use this card to make purchases and pay it off each month.

Pay your bills on time.

Nolo Press has a great book titled "Credit Repair" and another good book is "Good Credit is Sexy,"

Get a copy of your credit report and dispute any inaccuracies.

Good luck.

You can improve your credit score with knowledge, some time, some effort and not a lot of money. Start by learning the credit laws in the United States. The big one that will help you is that credit<!--bureaus must respond to disputes in a set amount of time or they have to remove disputed items from your credit report.

http://best-loans.awardspace.com/creditscore.htm

Get a copy of your credit report and go over it with a fine tooth comb. Find the inaccuracies; almost every credit report has them. Write letters to the credit bureaus, disputing the inaccurate-->items. If they can’t prove it’s correct or don’t respond in time, the items must be removed.
