you can file for bankruptcy but its not going to help you out that much

Bankruptcy cost $600, you should try do it yourself credit repair first. Usually companies charge hundreds of dollars to simply pull your credit and send correctly worded dispute letters—this is the key…..people will tell you that you can do this yourself for free but the truth of the matter is that the credit bureaus will throw your letters away or simply reject them. There is an easy to use online kit that will deliver the results you want available for just $19.95 at the source website. A similar kit is being sold via infomercials and radio talk shows for seventy dollars more but they try to solicit you repeatedly for other services after the fact.

1. Use the credit card only when absolutely essential. Pay your regular expenses by cash or a debit card. This will help you budget and not go overboard with credit card debt.

2. Follow repayment schedules like religion. Don't miss out and invite late payment fees, increased APR rates and blocked reward programs.

3. Don't stick to the monthly minimum payment. Pay the maximum you can afford and get that outstanding debt cleared as fast as possible. By just paying the monthly minimum the credit card companies reap the maximum rewards while, as a consumer you pay the maximum interest.

4. Get rid of multiple credit cards. Although this might sound difficult, but if you are struggling to repay on time and, juggling with the repayment dates is causing you to default- it's time to think. If there is a genuine need to keep multiple credit cards, then try to automate their monthly payments. This will ensure that you don't default unwillingly and face the negative consequences. I know where I live they have changed the bankruptcy laws and it is harder to get. It costs somewhere around 1000.00 to claim it. You can go in and talk to a bankruptcy lawyer and they can tell you if they think it is a good decision for you. I did it. I had a repo, my debt was only around 10,000.00, but because i was getting ready to graduate collage and going to have student loans to repay, we decided it was a good choice for me because with the repo they would have probubly garnished my wages for the remaining balance on the repo. basically it would have all snowballed and because of repaying student loans I decided to claim. Anyway I am rebuilding my credit and am able to afford to repay my student loans. You just need to talk to them. Also before tyyou make your decision, you should also talk to a debt consolidator, see if you can consolidate your debt to one payment. To build your credit, you need to pay all bills ontime for a solid 12months, don't be late, because even utility bills show on your credit. often credit inquiries check how often you pay on time and you can also use them if you have paid ontime as aletter of credit reference. But to rebuild, you need to pay ontime and attempt to pay at least something ontime each month to your credit card bills. Do not get more credit cards, eliminate as many as possible. You can also make a deal with them like if you owe 900.00 on a visa for example, you can call and ask if you were to pay it off right now what settelment would they offer you. They will often say if you pay 700.00 right now we will settle and then you saved 2 or 300.00. Good luck and weigh your options before you make a decision. bankruptcy takes 3yrs for you anyone to concider you for anything you need credit for, sometimes more than 3 yrs. You can build w/n the 3 yrs. and possibly get credit but you have to be very smart and ontime about all of your payments on anything. They also will not pay off any student loans and I'm not sure about medical bills.

The best thing you can do for your credit score is pay your bills on time each month. If you need more money to pay them, work 2 or even 3 jobs (this should only be temporary - until you are out of debt).

Keep your spending down to bare necessities to avoid using more credit.

Unless you are currently unable to keep up, bankruptcy will only add to you woes!

First off, pay the maximum that you can possibly afford on the credit cards. THEN CANCEL THEM AND CUT THEM UP! If you can control yourself, keep 1 credit card that has the lowest interest rate for emergencies. Hospital bills, pay the minimum that you can possibly get away with. Child Support, PAY IN FULL! Child Support is your top priority!

Check into opening a money market account. They pay a much higher interest rate back to you than a checking or savings account does. Shop around these can vary dramatically from bank to bank.

You also have to sacrifice to get out of debt. If you are not willing to, then you do not want out.

--get rid of cable TV or at least only basic cable
--limit yourself to only eating out once a week for lunch and once for dinner. (This saves the average person about $60/wk.)
--if you drink alcohol, think about how much money is literally drank away. Adjust accordingly
--Sell anything you have around the house that you don't really use on ebay
--take a side job if need be

It can be done. Bankruptcy is an easy way out. you got yourself into this and you can get out. How bad do you want it?

Best of Luck!
