It's fair (not fare)

1broWnMermaid
It is not fair. I used to bank with them, they suck! They are unreasonable sometimes and stole money from my account but i kept all receipts from all deposits and withdrawals every transaction. So in the end they had to credit my account back. Just get out while you can.

permaglo18
Have you called them and ask the reason why they did?

It may not be fair but its technically their card and they can refuse credit at anytime. Just open a new card with someone else and transfer the balances. If they don't want you buisness, give it to someone who does.

I do not know if one considers it fair or not, but they own the card, they issue the card and with or without cause they can revoke the card.

nbatch2006
technicaly it is their card they allow you to use it. if they want it back there is nothing you can do.

Quest4questions
They didn't just take your card without any reasons. If they did then you need to go to the manager and find a soluation to the problem. Maybe, there is a problem and you just didn't realize it.

Regardless if you feel wronged you have to talk to them about the situation.

Also, check your credit report, there might be something on there that you don't know about.

you think that's bad...........check out what happened to this guy http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2006/08/30/BUGTGKRHSF1.DTL

No, Mark, it's not fair.

They did the same thing when my credit score lowered, despite the fact that I was in VERY good standing with them!

Tatochka
There must be something you aren't saying about this situation. No bank or credit card company takes cards away from someone who pays their bills on time. If you have good credit, apply for one with Capital One or someone else.

BOOTS!
That makes no sence. I would call them and give them a piece of mind!

slickicemaven
banl of america is a evil company anyways if i were u i would get away from them fast!!! when i was in iraq i thought i ws getting payed but they were holding my money not allowing me to get it out until i returned to the states!! although when eployed u dont spend that much money u still have px and things u still have to pay for!! by the time i got back i owed my battle buddy over 3000. and then after i got back they charged me fees for not having any account activity during thos 18 months. wtf is that all about?

There is a reason why your card was cancelled. If it was a secured card and you went over the limit all the time, even though you paid it in advance you may have violated the fine print in your agreement with them.

The only way to find out what really happened is for you to call customer service and ask.

Your credit is your responsibility. Find out what happened because this issue will show on your credit report as closed by lender. That is a negative. At best you can negotiate with them to report it as closed by customer. It looks better on your credit file.

BTW you are entitled to a free credit report each year from all three of the major reporting bureaus. It's free and you do not have to sign up for any program. FTC.gov is the website for more info.

lbatten10
you need to contact boa and find out why. it may be to lack of use or over the limit for a certain period of time
