It's very simple, you just write to the manager of your branch and demand they repay all charges from the past 6 years or you'll take them to court. Go to penaltychargesforum.com for templates of letters.
Nobody has yet been refused or had to proceed to court action, so you are guaranteed every penny back. I recently got nearly £2k refunded. |

The telephone number that they advertised on the programme is 0845 080 1800 (FOS helpline)

i typed in reclaiming back bank charges and it tells you word for word what to write and how to go about it i found it very useful as i was like you and didnt no were to start and how to go about it, good luck to you. |

Well you can do, but I hear once you reclaim them, the bank will threatent to close your bank account.
If the charges are ligitimate and you went overdrawn or wrote a cheque that later bounced than I dont think you have a leg to stand on.
If you call the bank and say, I think I may go overdrawn or they paid out a direct debit or cheque that you stopped or cancelled but the bank still pay it out and make you go overdrawn then you are within your rights. |
