do not even go there. it will not help you out. go to your home bank (where you have your checking or savings account) they are the best company that could help you out because they could see your financial activity. |

729 is not bad credit. It's actually a very good credit score that would allow a great rating on a new home or the purchase of a car.
If you want to build on your credit... take out a loan and pay it back in a few months. Get the loan and use the loan to pay it off. Pay a little interest, pay off the loan quickly and build the credit.
Most credit card companies for people with bad credit have either massive interest rates - 24 to 36%. Other require you put down say $500 and they give you a credit card with a $1000 limit. It's not worth that unless you actually have bad credit. |

The benefit will be with the company you get the best interest rate with. Most likely it will be chase or someone other than orchard or premier. |

If you score is 729, then you should'nt have a bad credit. Here is the link to apply for bad credit cards

There is no reason why these particular companies would benefit you. It's not the company that makes the credit score, but the payee. Choose the card with the best rate and most features/benefits. For more info on how to sucessfully rebuild your credit check out:

If you feel your score is still too low, then still go to the more reputable places but apply for their secondary cards (gold as opposed to platinum for example). The secondary cards don't need as high a score to be offered, and you still get the benefits of dealing with a bigger brand name. |

Why would you think that? |

One of the first steps to building credit is to open a checking and a savings account in your name. You may already have an account, and it is something many lenders will look at, as it show stability. If you only have a checking account, you may also want to open a savings account as well, which can be used as collateral for a secured loan,if necessary<!--You should also have as many bills as you can listed in your name, such as your telephone and cellular bill. Make sure you pay all of your bills on time, as this is a major factor in your credit score. If you can, try to establish the accounts in your name only. The next step would be to get a credit card.

If you are a student, you may be bombarded by credit offers on campus. Its a good idea to get one credit card, so if you find one available with low interest rates and a low or no annual fee, you may want to apply. Student credit cards are mainly designed for people with no prior-->credit, and they accept a large percentage of applicants. However, don't get more than one card, as its too easy to start running up balances, and it also looks better for your credit if you don't open a number of accounts in a short period of time. |

you have a decent credit score now - why ruin it by getting a credit card ??
credit cards are bad news, but if you have your mind set on getting one the best one to go with is Orchard Bank. |
