By doing a survey for a company , I won a package deal from etourandtravel.com. They wanted payment by credit?
card over the phone saying I had to pay right away for this trip I had two years to take. I told him I had to consult with my husband and to contact me again. When he called again I told him that I wanted all the information on what I had actually won so he told me to go online and at etour and travel.com and I would see the package but all I seen was some complaints this company had under another name and so they changed their name to etour. Apparently the charges are credit card fraud etc. Would like some feed back for he is to call me tommorrow night.
thank you

this is a telemarketer scam - if not a total scam, no company that says you have won something then wants a payment is legitimate. i would ask him to send you the ticket and prize information in the mail first and i will pay when i am ready to redeem my price, i would also as for their business license number and a return phone number and full address before any further transactions can take place. if he cant provide this information then say OK well thank you sir for your time and please remove me from your call list so i don't receive further calls from your company or any company you might be related to in anyway and hang up - even if you have to cut him off - but never give out personal information over the phone to someone you don't know.

snickers_902
sounds like a scam....

i wouldnt give my credit card number to any company....especially if you "won" something.

You have to be really careful these days about crap like that and identity fraud

You were scammed...if you win something you don't have to pay for it.

J.E.S.
You didn't "win" anything if they want paid. CAUTION!

Scam, scam and scam. You don't pay when you win something. All that they want is your private information, like credit card and your bank account number. Forget it, hit the delete key, hang up on them if they call, don't be a victim.

muggin_girl
SCAM! Some guy in Nigeria will be putting a pool in his house at your expense.

Uh, Hellooo! Why would you need to pay for something you won? You never have to pay fees or taxes before you receive a prize. Besides, if you really did win, they would send you information about the winning trip package in the mail with the travel vouchers.
All they want is to steal your credit information.
Tell this jerk to take a hike!

Sounds like a scam. If you won a prize, you should not have to pay for it. Call your state's Attorney General office.
