It all depends. The place you were evicted from before, were they an apartment complex? Places like that usually report you to a national system that other apartment complexes can actually check. If it was just some ordinary person that you rented off of, then maybe theres a chance they didnt report you to the system, and I think there actually might be several systems out there like there are credit bureaus. My Ex - mother n law has an apartment house, she joined some kind of rental community for landlords in her city. So, I would say, it just depends on who you rented from. The eviction will not show up on your credit report, but, if they did take you court and received a judgement, then that will show up, but again, unless you plan on renting off of someone ( and I mean, like a big apartment complex, they always check) that is going to check your credit report and check you against a national rental report, then, I wouldnt really worry about. I would just check around for places to rent, if your interested in renting a house, call and talk to the landlord, I wouldnt mention any eviction though. Hope this helps

Yes you can rent again but you'll have to go with a private owner who'll give you a break or with someone that won't check your credit. I'd recommend making payment arrangements with whomever you were evicted so you can get it cleared off your credit in the mean time. Once you have made arrangements, negotiate to have them report that it was paid as agreed to the credit bureaus. That way, it won't continue to haunt you.

Its possible, but the next time you go to rent an apartment, the place may require a higher security deposit. A friend of mine encountered that. She filled out the information to rent, once her credit came back, it should the previous eviction and then she had to pay a full months rent as a deposit instead of the $150 advertised. Then at the end of her lease, if she wasn't behind, the deposit could be used to pay the last month of her lease or could be returned to her.

Yes but it will be harder to find one to trust you! Everyone goes through hard times and we all deserve a second chance, but if your not hard working and honest your screwed because it will happen again!

yes...u'll prob have 2 stick w/private owners 4 awhile. most property mgmt cos. do credit checks and will check recent court records. private owners r usually a little more lenient as long as u have 1st month's rent and security deposit in hand and 1 or 2 good references. eviction is not the end of the world. just try 2 keep on the straight and narrow w/the new landlord. if nothing else, when u try 2 move again, this landlord will have nothing but good things 2 say about u.

Yes, but you will have to pay a higher security deposit and may be required to have first and last month's rent ready. It would be best to go in being able to pay a few months ahead, that could give you some leverage with the Management Company or the whoever you are going to be renting from. Try to show as much good faith effort as possible to let them know you are prepared to make each payment. (and pay your rent on time too)
