but it took some time and you usually have to shop around. the high street lenders wont touch you.
I was discharged in 2004. so my bankruptcy no longer appears on my credit file, but I still get refused so I obviously have a big red star next to my name on some database somewhere.
what i did was pre-paid credit card. rubbish interest rate, only 200 credit limit and a 200 deposit to secure it. I used it regularly, insted of cash, (petrol mainly) and then used the cash to pay it off in full every month. after 9 months of this i then got a an RBS credit card although it was 1/2 their normal credit limit and I now have a loan to pay for my upcoming wedding.
the loan however, was a shop around on money supermarket.com and someone rang me from one of their "associated companies" and offered me one at 40 odd % interest (to which I said NO) but one of the companies on their list came back and gave me one at 14.9% which is high, but not overly considering the bankruptcy. |

Boy, there is a lot on this recently! I found an article in ezine you should read because it is totally about this. It can explain this better than me, but yes, you can get credit after bankruptcy if you know where to look. |

yes the only thing you can get is credit cards with a very high interest and also auto loans and you have to have a good job with a good dowm payment i file for bankruptcy and it is very hard to get credit |

you can get credit with some companies but apr will be high you'd be better waiting and staying in the black for a year before trying to obtain credit again |
