Yes of course you can. Perhaps you'd also like the keys to my house and car plus my ATM card and it's number.

I like to say, "You tell me yours and I'll tell you mine." Then they usually hang up on me... Go figure!

And if I think they might be legit, I ask them to fax or mail me some information. I assume if they can't do that at a second's notice, then they are frauds.

Because some people are naive and fall for these tactics, they just use them over and over again

Wring his neck for me when you find him/her.

Also get that idiot who faxes vacation blowouts from Florida at 1-800-592-2140 religiously every 2 weeks for years!!!!

Mariposa
You're correct. I'm not giving you mine. The guy who called was a scammer. Don't give him your info. Sadly enough, some people do.

Only bloody fools will give the
details of his credit card for
misuse.

Already, there are atleast 25%
credit card related forgeries
around the globe.

If the number is known to a cheat,
he may visit any internet site and
start buying from your card.

It is as good as cash $ in pocket.

So, why would any one give the details
to any one for getting robbed?

Personally, I would advise that
one should not buy on the nets
even for the fear of misuse.

The net service providers are
basically honest, but what about
their staff, who may have access
to your Credit Card numbers.

Recently, in Bangalore (India),
a person working with a BPO,
supplied details of several credit
card holders to a British Company
on payment, illegally. He was
caught by the police for a cyber
crime offence and is in jail now.
There are such possibilities, but
one has to be very careful.

it's called social engineering. Some people are so gullible that they are tricked into giving out personal info just by being asked.

exsolister
It's scam. Usually target at old people.

patsy
Not very impressed with your language. All you had to do was tell him you didn't want the holiday and put the phone down. It's obvious it was con, nobody gives you something for nothing all he wanted was your credit card details so he could have a spending spree at your expense. You'll be surprised how gulable some innocent people can be.

Sounds like you are upset. What do you want to do about it besides venting here?
Did you get the name and the organization of the caller? If you are so upset, would you not want to get the details and report it to the authorities?

MadforMAC
Uh, you've just been talking to a scammer. That is a common one.
