Nope. The credit repair companies are scams. They take your money, do a smoke and mirror routine but the negatvie comes right back on your credit report.
You just have to wait for the late to fall off your report. |

They take it off the report for 30 days while you challenge it. If the mortgage holder doesn't respond, it stays off for good. If they do, your objection is noted on the report. |

You would have to dispute it and the creditor has 30 days to respond and if they don't you can have it removed from your credit report. Beware with companies who say this becasue some are tempory. You can do this on your own by writing to the creditor and credit bureaus and if creditors don't respond within 30 days, you can have it taken off your credit report. |

There are certain things that you may do ) or not do) that will be on your record forever.
This is one of them.
Howver, if it happened a while ago, once and done, it shouldn't hurt you as time goes by.
For example, you were two weeks late with a morgtage payment April of 2003, but never befor or since., this won't hurt you. |
