Yes, they can call you at work. But you can tell them not to do it anymore and they have to stop. Also, if they call you several times a day it is harassment and not legal. Go on line to Google and just type in bill collectors. Several sites should come up that spell out what they can and cannot do and what your rights are. |

Studly is not entirely correct. Once you instruct them not to contact you, they can still contact you to inform you of actions they have taken to collect (such as filing a lawsuit). Since you have left them with no other legal options, they probably will sue you as soon as they receive the 'cease and desist' letter. |
