Can a cell phone or cable bill late payment affect your credit?
hello,
I have a ton a bills and i forgot to pay my cell phone and cable bill on time. They were only 5-10 days late. i know when you are late with a credit card the day after it, its on your credit report. I had this happen once with capital one, called them up and expained to them and they fixed and took of the late fee!

Double check with your phone and cable company's collection department to see if they report late payments to the credit bureaus - more and more of them do these days. But I think you're probably ok. Even if the phone & cable company do report to the credit bureaus - you usually have to be at least 30 days late before it can get reported. I find that company's who get their money within 10 days of the due date may charge a late fee, but nothing more.

That depends on the company..some may report to the credit agency more than others when you are late....and some don't, only if it's waaaaaay overdue..it's at their discretion.

absolutely

only if the the phone company and cable company report to the credit bureau and i doubt it.

Hey there, I think any late payments can affect your credit scores which is why a lot of people right now are struggling in getting theirs up.

all late payments affect your credit

it depends on how much time you are late and if you keep doing it.

better put all your bills on one credit card and stop paying late.

Good luck !

they are not supposed to report late payments until they are 30 days late...if they report sooner than that you can fight it

Yes it can, especially if it has been turned over to a collection agency.
