Never.
Court order may allow it if it is necessary. |

No, not without a court ordered garnishment. And you SHOULD have known about it, unless you've moved a few times and you're mail hasnt been forwarded. |

NO but I had this happen to me. They are sneaky I made a one time payment over the phone. I had a emergency come up and had to cancel that check. So I put a stop payment on it. So they stopped payment on the check 10 days later they took the money as a pre authorized payment. I gave them absolutely no right to go into my account. I called them on it and threaded to get a lawyer if they did it again. The answer is NO they have no right unless its going to a JUDGMENT then they can garnish your wages and size bank info. So just work out a payment plan with them they will take anything from you at this point. |

i don't think an collection agency can go to your bank account without your permission. i haven't heard of anyone with this story you know that the collection agency gotten to their bank account |

No way, only with a judge order if they have a probable couse, but I don´t know a judge that will do it The bank that holds your money is as if you have that money in you home, they are just for safe keeping. |

No Way not without having going to court first. No-one can get into your account without your permission unless a judge orders it. |

The collection agency cannot but their client (your creditor) can with the garnishment order from the court. First you would have had to receive some notification summoning you to court. Most of the time, they then send you a notice letting you know that they are "freezing" or "holding" your funds for a certain period of time and will withdraw the money on a certain date. Unless you have more money than they're holding in the accounts, everything will bounce during this time period. They will hold the entire amount you owe plus any fees, court costs, etc on any and all accounts with your name on it (including joint accounts with your spouse, children, parents, whatever) until it is time to withdraw the funds so if you are really worried about this happening I would get these people's money out of the way now! |

not without you giving them your account info, or without a court order. If they have a court judgment on you then they can garnish your wages, but again not without a court order. |

After a court settlement, they can take your wages. |

Not without your authorization. But, if they do it, contact your bank and file a complaint. The bank will put the money back into your account and go after the agency for their money. |

The only way a collection agency can do this is if you give them permission to do it, like a direct debit.
The only way they can garnish your wages is with a court order. Unless a lot of money is involved, they won't bother taking you to court. |

no they can't. IRS can't even do that. they might be able to put leans on your possessions. |

No only by a court order. If they do you can file a complaint against them. I have had them threaten me with jail. |

Yes, but that is probably the least of your concerns. Watch a documentary on the irs, America: freedom to facism, By Aaron Russo. It is kind of scary what is going on in amerca and we all need to be prepared. |

No, the only way a collection agency can get your money without you approving it is to 'garnish your paycheck' ... and many places will fire you if you receive a garnishment, because they don't think you are 'reliable' with that garnishment on your paycheck. PAY YOUR BILLS and you won't have this problem. |

Not legally. Not saying they haven't. you need to get with your bank and make sure no unauthorised transactions have been made.
Never give your account info out to anyone unless you know they are reputable. |

Yeah.
Happened to me.
No warning, cleared out my checking and savings accounts.
Apparently, they have to find it first, so they only survey most of the larger banks, they did not get my small credit union account. |
