If they received a court ordered garnishment/lien, then yes.
Or, if buried somewhere in all the documents you signed when you got the loan they had a "default clause" that entitled them to do this.
Or, if you set up, even once, an ETF payment (usually over the computer or phone).
Without viewing your documents, or knowing the whole situation, this is not a cut and dried answer for any of us to make. |

When you sign for a loan you usually give them permission to set up the direct debit from their end so its probably already set up. |
