you have to provide a ssi in all bank transactions , like accounts , credit and investing |

It would be considered an incomplete application. Remember, YOU are asking THEM to give you something (a credit line). If you do not give them the information they ask for in order to make a decision then they will turn you down. I would too.
It's nothing personal. Only business. |

In that case, if you don't provide a social security number
you can't apply for a credit card. In fact there are alot of
other things you can't do if you don't give them your social
security number. |

Whatever

Of course not. Why wouldn't you give them your S.S.N. if you want to apply for a credit card? they need it to report your payment rating to the credit agency...unless you are illegl? |

yes of course, credit card companies are getting very strict now-a-days with so may security hacking going on. Anyways unless you don't have the intention of cheating the bank you should provide your social security number. Take care. Good luck. |

Ummm how else would they check your credit without your social security number?? They need your ssn in order to see if you have bad or good credit before they issue you a credit card from their own store |

Yes, that's correct. Your social security number is necessary to obtain any kind of credit or credit card. |

they use your social to check to see if you could be approved for credit so if you have no social then they can't even process your application so your not denied its just like you never applied |

when a company gets your application they look at your credit history to determine the risk of giving you credit, they do this with your soc. sec. # |

 |
Yeah, your social security # is the only thing that is 'proof' that you are you and is used to check your credit history, used to process credit card apps, etc. |
