You indeed are able to get a credit card. Just be careful when using it that you don't go overboard and get into huge credit card debt. (Speaking from experience.)
Some of the better cards that I have dealt with is Chase Mastercard and Washington Mutal. Their rates seem to be reasonable and if you have issues they are easy to get things done.
Once you start filing for loans and buying things online or thru the mail your name will get out into the CC world and you'll start receiving a ton of offers. Read the fine print and don't sign up for too many. You really only need one or two in the begining. Dept stores will sign anyone up but be aware that their interest rates are typically over 20%!!

Yes you can, but use it with caution. Start with a lower limit than you'd like and pay the entire amount each month. A better idea is to get a debit card which uses your existing funds and can still be used like a "visa" card. |
