This is up to the shop.
Generally a shop should give a full refund especially as its been such a short amount of time.
Give the shop a ring and ask but be polite and pleasant......having worked many years ina shop a pleasant customer gets a lot further than a rude one
Good Luck |

Because they aren't faulty, the shop doesn't have to give you anything for them, but give them a call - you never know. |

all shops have different return pollicies. they dont have to refund you unless the goods are faulty. big brand shops will be more inclined to refund but smaller ones less likely. credit note is probably likely. |

Usually shops accept unwrapped goods like this back with the recipt. If you paid by credit card they will charge the money back.
If you bought by mail order you may have the right to change your mind. But if not, given the fact they are not damaged, you have no rights to a refund.
I doubt you will be refused. |

It all depends on the store, some give you a credit note and some will give full refund. As the skies are never used, the store should credit your credit card. if you have the receipt. |

you have hit the nail on the head
ask nicely
but they can give you a credit note
they were sold and are in working order
some may charge a restocking fee to cover the price of wrapping etc and if you paid by card the fee the store pays to the card company |

In the UK shops would have to give you a refund (within a certain time period that is.....the time period is "usually" seen as 12 months) if the goods "is not fit for the purposes in which they were purchased" and you of course have "proof of purchase".
This would usually mean that the item is defective....but this is not necessarily true.
A good retailer would have no problem giving you a refund (provided you have proof of purchase) simply because you changed your mind. A bad retailer would.
Lets assume that you wife broke her leg and is no longer able to ski? Would this change the picture? It could.
Buying the product with your credit card gives you additional rights (in case the retailer goes under for example) but it would not affect the statutory rights you have right now. |

That depends on whether the store is willing to give you a refund.
If the goods were defective then they'd be required to do so but if you just change your mind they are under no obligation to give a refund (and may at their discretion charge a restocking fee). |

Very few shops have exchange/credit only policy. You should get a full refund, absolutely! |
