If he chooses to file charges, yes. I suggest you tell him and pay him back. Don't use others things without their permission. That is Very Disrespectful. |
|

Only if he disagrees with the charge and complains to the police. |

If your dad is really strict, he could have you arrested for credit card fraud I guess. Hopefully, you'll be honest with him and find some way to repay him. Obviously your conscience is bothering you or you wouldn't be on here asking about it. |

Yes you can....its THEFT.
but I dont think your dad will call the cops..
you might get a spanking |
|

BLUEJAY57
 |
if he turns you in. i would spank your butt, and take away what ever you spend the money on, and make you return it to the store. you have no respect for your father if you did it with out his permission. |

Yes it is fraud...
You should not steal from your family it is a very low thing to do. |
|

Emily
 |
only if he presses charges against you for stealing it and useing it.
other then that he will probably just get mad and ground you. $20 isnt that much money. |

Sue Ellie

if your dad wants to turn you in, yes. |
|

Cliff

if he gets mad he'll deal with you...unless he wants the cops to arrest his own daughter..then youre in some hot water |

Yes, you can. It would be up to your father to press charges tho. |
|

johnnydangerously59

Yes you can get arrested but only if your dad (or the credit card holder) presses charges.
I doubt your dad would do that but some parents would actually do it to "teach you a lesson".
I would fess up to your dad and work out a way to pay him back. |
|

Yes, you can. If you were my kid, not only would I press charges, I'd throw you out of the house. |

you better tell your dad right away before he finds out |

he probably wont even notice, but if he does and wants to be an ****** about it, i guess he can have you arrested...:)
he wont take you to court cause the court costs will likely be way more than 20 bucks...:) |

 |
no but if he takes it badly he could actually call the cops and u would get arrested
i have done the same but with a hell of a lot more money and he finally forgive me
i wud not advise u to do it again !!!!! its basically stealing from your family |
|

Ted
|
Only if he reports it to police. Unfortunately, I have seen dysfunctional families where the police have had to get involved because of the lack of trust between family members. |

You will be arrested immediately. Pack your belongings and flee the country. Lay low for a while, change your name, maybe grow a mustache. In a few dozen years you may be able to return. Leave now, don't bother logging out of yahoo, the police are already coming for you. |

That is fraud and identity theft. That is a felony which carries much worse penalties than taking cash. He probably won't press charges so no one will charge you. However he failed in raising you because you turned out to be a thief.
How did he fail you? Did he divorce your mother? Did he beat or molest you? Did he abuse drugs and alcohol? Or was he just too busy with his own pleasures to care about you? In any case your life is ruined and you will likely cause pain and suffering to all those arround you.
You will be punished in the end but not from this isolated incident. |
|

Yes. You can be charged with Petty Theft and/or Forgery. Its unlikely, he or the store would have to push for it. If he requests a refund because he did not buy the item, and the store finds out it was you they could push for charges. Either way you are probably in big trouble. If my kid robbed from me I would lose all trust in him which would create lots of problems for him (I would never let someone who steals from me drive one of my cars for example.) I think you better fess up before he gets the bill and calls the store. |

if you're an adult most likely, if you didnt have his consent, its credit card fraud, if youre a minor, probably not |

sounds like you're young, so no. and also it's only 20 bucks. No ones' gonna bother with that, excpet for maybe your dad... for like 2 minutes. |

You can't get arrested. Legally, he could take you to court (if he so chose), and he could sue you for what you spent.
For $20, I don't see that happening. |
|

miss mary mack mack mack...
 |
oh...pshhh
i thought you spent lots...
if you spent 20 dollars, then just give it to him in cash.if he asks what for, then tell him the truth |
