Yes, chances are good that you will be able to obtain a loan, but your interest rate will be high depending on what your credit score is now. You should call around or research on the internet with several places to find out how much you can apply for & what the rate would be. A good place to start is http://loan.divinfo.com/ |

My past credit history is quite poor but managed to get an unsecured loan two weeks ago with a company called citifinance. Look them up in yellow pages and give them a call they were very helpful. |

The more credit you apply for the WORST your rating gets - Fact!
So I would advice you speaking to your bank, even if they say no, you can query it with them, they will look into your account - income and out-goings.
If you don't have a high street bank account you could look to leaders such as Credit Union, the web link will be different in every area, so search Credit Union in your local area and speak to them - they do a brief credit check but it doesn't come up on your credit history affecting your rating. They offer credit with even those on benefits - as long as you can make the payments thats all that matters to them.
I'm sure you will get a loan soon enough! Good Luck |

You should be able to get a loan, but the rate you pay will be quite a bit higher! |

Bad credit loans are available, but you have to pay a higher rate of interest on them to cover the lender's risk. Make sure you compare the options before you take one out, though, with a site like http://www.beatthatquote.com . Since you're paying more for the loan already it makes sense to try to save as much as possible on it before taking it out, huh?
You can also get a copy of your credit report from various agencies for relatively little money. This will let you know why you might have bad credit. These agencies can also offer advice for correcting a bad credit history I believe.
A generally good way to help your credit rating though is to ensure that you always pay things like credit card bills on time.
But shop around, and make sure that you definitely need a loan and there are no other options. I've been where you are and there are options. |

There are many factors a lender will evaluate when looking at a loan application. Your debt to income ratio (how much you make a year versus how much you owe creditors), your past payment history, your length of employment and residence, and compare those against their own underwriting guidelines. Also, what kind of credit you've had since the 'bad credit' in the past. What was the bad credit? Medical bills, collections for non payment of anything from rent to utilities to bounced checks to other loans. What was the reason for the bad credit?
'Bad credit' hangs around for 7 years after which it should be removed from your credit report. You are entitled to a free report once a year from www.annualcreditreport.com.
If you are unable to get an unsecured loan you could consider some type of secured loan. A loan against a vehicle that you own the title to free and clear is a good way to start to rebuild your credit history.
When trying to rebuild your credit expect to pay high interest rates if your credit score is low. Eventually, with consistent on time payments and careful use of credit your score will increase and your rates will decrease.
The length of time to obtain a loan really depends on the institution. |

why not fill out an application online at loanlands.co.uk as they usually can do a loan at competitive rates |

Best place for a loan is the bank, your bank ideally. They will give you an instant answer. A yes if you are now deemed to be credit worthy and a no if your record is still not OK. If given a NO then you can ask them why. I they will not tell you they must tell you which credit rating company has given the bad report. You can then, for a small fee, obtain the details for the refusal. |
