Yes. What you are inquiring about is called a "cash advance". Most credit card companies will allow you to do this, but you must get a pin number from them first. You would then treat it like an ATM card. However they do not allow you to do this without a hefty penalty. They charge way too much for this convenience, you end up having to pay back the money you took out, the fee that the bank charges and whatever fees the credit card tacks on...sweetheart so many places take credit cards now that getting a cash advance is just not worth it... unless you just HAVE to have cash.... I would think twice before you go there... Good Luck!

TPHANT0M
yes you can, however this is called a cash advance, cash advances generally incur interest daily (not monthly like your regular card), check with your card provider before doing this, because it could become a very expensive withdrawl if you dont pay it back for a while.

purple rain
yes you can....... you will just be charged a fee

Chuya
Yes you can you need to have a pin number that was provided by the bank. Also your interest rate on cash is much higher than if you were to charge something at the store.

?
Lol no that is why we have debit cards. Called atm cards if you want to.

If you have a pin Number and the available cash on your credit card. Some casinos have non-pin number machines, but it cost you 25$ and up

MOM KNOWS EVERYTHING
You can, but that's a cash advance on your credit limit, and the interests rate is usually much higher than the interest rate on purchases, not to mention there is a transaction fee....it's NOT a good idea.

Yes, you'll have to ask your card issuer for the PIN for the card. If you don't have that and you really need some money most banks will allow you to go into the bank and they can run the credit card and give you cash. However, you should consider the fees associated with doing this. Most credit cards will charge you a different percentage rate on cash withdrawl's. Then, they will make your payments default to the actuall charged ballance leaving you with the higher interest rate not being paid. There is also usually a fee associated with this, perhaps $5 sometimes more depending on the card. I would check with your card issuer on all these details. If you need money that bad I'd check a local quick loan location, it's usually a bit cheaper.

Sure, if the card issuer gave you a PIN. Most of them do nowadays. It just adds whatever you withdraw to your unpaid balance, subject to interest. Usually, the interest for "cash advances" is a bit higher than the one for purchases. Read the terms in the card agreement they sent you with the card.

Yes, if you have your PIN.

You can also take your credit card to your bank and get money from it, if you do not have a PIN.

Taking cash from your card is VERY expensive. The interest accrues daily, and it is the last thing to be paid. When you have a zero balance on your purchases then the cash advance will be paid.

Call the number on the back of your credit card. You should be given an option to select a PIN for your credit card, if not, select the option to speak with a customer service representative. Once you get the PIN # established, you can usually then immediately use the card in an ATM to withdrawal cash. As well, many credit card companies allow you to do this on their web site.

You will be charged a higher interest rate for this money and when you pay your monthly bill, the money withdrawn from the ATM (considered a cash advance) will not begin to be paid off until the purchase balance portion of your card is paid in full.

yep if they give you a pin... its a cash adv. so the interest is usually way higher than when you just make a purchase.

futurehero5200
with some credit cards they give you a pin to use, be warned that is considered a cash advance and your apr might not be lower for those in fact it is higher sometimes,

you can if you have the PIN number and available credit for cash advances.

yes, U can..but U need at pin number for that...I get instantly cash from my American Express card, and all my other credit card too, I have set up pin number for all, just in case I ever need cash on the weekend. the ATM withdraw is only 400 dollars within a 24 hour period.

Yes, you can. You will need to have a PIN to access the card in the ATM. Also, you need to make sure that the symbol on the BACK of your card matches to one that is posted on the front of the ATM. Be aware that this is a cash advance. Some credit card companies charge a flat rate for a cash advance. They usually all charge a higher interest rate on cash withdrawals. I would suggest checking out your card company's website or calling the number on the back of your card before you decide.

you can, but you shouldn't...apr for draws thru atms are usually at the highest rate on your credit card...usually more than 20% interest.

Many credit cards will issue a PIN allowing you to get cash advances through an ATM. One thing to note is that often these are charged at the cash advance inerest rate, which is usually substantially higher than the regular purchase rate. Check with your card issuer to be sure.

Yes, you can...but don't do it. They'll charge you an extrodinarily high interest rate. Seriously, don't do it.
