Is the agreement in writing? Do you have receipts or documentation for everything you bought? He can do it... proving it one way or the other may be difficult. Good Luck |

if the dates of the charges are after you quit then there is a case if not then all you have to do is show that it was done before and that he never contested the charges and in detail tell what the charges are for (items for him). |

You should have had that in writing. Your case would have been written in stone: so to speak. Unless he can find other things that were charged without his consent, Yes he can prosecute you. If you charged your lunches on the card without consent, yes he can prosecute you. He would have to have circumstantial evidence against you. But be careful, he is the boss and he has corporate lawyers who can do more harm than he can. Be careful and cover your A double S. Get a lawyer so you can build a defense. If it is something small, pay it and get over it. Don't let this thing escalate. Get it over as fast as you can. It can hurt you in future employment. |

He would have to prove that you used the credit card for you own personal use without his permission. That won't be easy to prove especially if you've been working there for a while and he hasn't discovered these charges until now. I wouldn't worry about it. |
